Questions posed in the ListenUP: Children on Inequalities

  1.  What does the word “inequality” mean to you? 

  2.  What do you think about the idea that “all people are equal”?

  3.  How does inequality show up in your life and in the lives of people around you?(Can you think of some different types of inequalities?)

  4.  In what ways are you different to people you know? How does it feel to be different?

  5.  What does the word “discrimination” mean to you?

  6.  Have you been discriminated against or treated unfairly because you are different in some way? What was that like? 

  7.  Have you ever seen someone else being treated unfairly because they are different? What was that like? 

  8.  What advice do you have for someone who is being discriminated against?

  9.  What ideas do you have for children who would like to make the world a fairer place? (Perhaps you have done something already?)

  10.  If you were a prime minister or president, what would you do to make the world a more equal/fair place?
